Compensation: $150K–$170K base + bonus
A leading commercial real estate finance platform is seeking a Manager of Sales Compensation to lead the administration and oversight of its compensation programs.
This role sits at the intersection of accounting, sales operations, and finance, and will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of compensation calculations, financial controls, and reporting across the organization. The position also manages the team responsible for delivering accurate commission statements and supporting compensation‑related accounting processes.
Responsibilities
Lead the team responsible for administering sales compensation and commission programs across the organization
Oversee the monthly calculation and delivery of compensation statements for sales professionals and leadership
Review compensation calculations to ensure alignment with employment agreements, incentive plans, and special programs
Partner with Accounting to support month‑end close and commission accruals
Manage onboarding and setup of new originators and compensation plans within internal systems
Deliver reporting and analysis on deferred production payouts and compensation costs
Act as the escalation point for compensation questions, disputes, and exceptions across sales, finance, HR, and payroll teams
Identify opportunities to improve automation, controls, and reporting processes related to compensation operations
Partner with Accounting, FP&A, HR, Payroll, and Internal Audit to maintain strong controls and audit readiness
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
4–10 years of experience in accounting, audit, financial operations, FP&A, or compensation operations
Strong understanding of accruals, reconciliations, expense recognition, and internal controls
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets
Experience with compensation or commission‑based sales organizations preferred
Exposure to Workday, beqom, or similar HR/payroll/compensation platforms is a plus
Strong communication skills and ability to partner cross‑functionally with sales leadership and finance teams
Prior team leadership or management experience preferred
