Order Entry Specialist
The Order Entry Specialist is responsible for accurately processing customer orders from initial receipt through final shipment and billing. This role ensures all order information is entered correctly, supports production and logistics teams, and provides clear communication to customers. This is a Contract to Hire opportunity located near Libertyville, IL. Key Responsibilities
Accurately enter customer orders into the order management system to support timely processing. Prepare order documents, production paperwork, and shipment information for internal teams. Communicate ship dates, order updates, and required details to customers by email or phone. Answer incoming calls, assist customers with order-related questions, and direct inquiries as needed. Match invoices with purchase orders, input freight charges, and route completed orders for invoicing. Maintain organized filing systems and ensure all order records are complete and up to date. Collaborate with production, sales, accounting, and logistics teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain smooth order flow. Skills and Qualifications
Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in data entry. Proficient in order entry or ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks. Customer-focused approach with the ability to resolve issues professionally. Job Details:
