About The Position:
We’re hiring an
Escrow Assistant
to support one of our most experienced Escrow Officers in a dynamic, high-volume office. This role can flex depending on your background — whether you’re newer to the industry and eager to learn the escrow process from the ground up, or you’re an experienced assistant ready to take on more responsibility and complex files. You’ll be working with high expectations, fast-moving timelines, and sophisticated (sometimes demanding) clients. To succeed, you’ll need a calm demeanor, strong attention to detail, and the ability to stay focused under pressure. If you’re adaptable, resilient and eager to grow – we believe you will thrive. This is an on-site position based in Austin, TX. Key Responsibilities: Transaction & Administrative Support: Greet clients and agents with warmth in person, email or on the phone — you’re often the first impression of our team Receive and receipt contracts and earnest money, send out notifications to all parties Set up and manage physical and digital escrow files Open title, order taxes, payoffs, HOA, and other applicable documents Match invoices and checks; coordinate disbursements or keys with the front desk Support packaging and scanning processes at funding/post-close Offer backup support to other teams when your workflow allows Communication & Customer Service: Maintain clear and proactive communication with clients, agents, lenders, and vendors throughout the closing process Work collaboratively with your Escrow Officer and fellow assistant(s) to ensure files are moving forward smoothly Respond quickly to questions and updates with a professional, solutions-oriented mindset Address issues as they arise with empathy, urgency, and professionalism Qualifications & Experience: Warm, upbeat personality Exceptional customer service and interpersonal communications (both written and oral) Detail-oriented & quality-focused with proven time management, prioritizing, and problem-solving skills Proven ability for accuracy while working quickly and reliably meeting deadlines Can stay calm under pressure and while multi-tasking Ability to work independently and be self-motivated, following processes with minimal supervision Confident computer user (work includes use of Outlook, Adobe, Slack, RamQuest, Etc.) A college degree is preferred but not required. We value relevant experience, work ethic, and a great attitude just as much. Previous experience in title, escrow, financial services, customer service, or real estate is also a plus! Why Midtown?
