Receiving Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Receiving Specialist who will represent our organization with professionalism and respect towards clients, coworkers, and vendors. The ideal candidate will work both individually and as part of a team, providing support in various warehouse and non-receiving tasks. Responsibilities

Answer front and back doors, ensuring secure access and adherence to visitor protocols. Manage and verify incoming shipments against packing slips, purchase orders, and bills of lading. Count and inspect items for damage, defects, or discrepancies, and document any issues found. Assist with the packaging of outgoing shipments and ensure proper logging. Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks and carts for loading, unloading, and moving materials. Record received items in the accounting system and process related paperwork. Transport materials to their designated locations after receiving. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including the shipping and receiving areas. Perform routine cleaning duties, including dusting and sweeping, as well as maintaining warehouse restrooms. Report building maintenance and repair needs to management. Assist with kitchen maintenance, including cleaning, trash management, and grocery orders. Support special functions like luncheons, tours, and company events. Assist the inventory specialist with quarterly physical inventory counts. Provide support to accounting with accounts payable as needed. Perform any other projects or duties as assigned. Essential Skills

High School Diploma or equivalent. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. Clear and effective communication skills. Accuracy in counting, inspecting, and recording information. Self-driven with the ability to meet deadlines and solve challenges. Strong organizational and analytical skills. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs. Adherence to safety procedures and warehouse protocols. Additional Skills & Qualifications

Inventory and logistics experience is helpful but not required. Export compliance knowledge through company training. Experience in inventory control, cycle counting, shipping and receiving, and data entry. Why Work Here?

This position operates within a climate-controlled facility, providing a comfortable work environment. The role requires adherence to a standard Monday to Friday schedule, with potential for overtime and weekend work as necessary. Dress code is professional and safety-oriented. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fredericksburg, VA. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
