Overview
CANDIDATES MUST SIT IN ORLANDO- THIS IS AN APPLICATION ENGINEER FOR THE INDUSTRIAL AUTOMATION INDSUTRY.
Our client is adding an Application Engineer that will be part of a rapidly growing automation and controls industry. This Application Engineer will implement open Automation systems using proven PC-based control technology. Candidates should have a working knowledge and understanding of a range of PLCs, Motion, Drives, Industrial PCs, Distributed I/O, HMI and Microsoft based software.
Responsibilities
- Implement open Automation systems using proven PC-based control technology.
- Advise Customers on proper selection, use, maintenance, and training of technology for specific applications.
- Understand PLCs, Motion Drives, Industrial PCs, and Distributed I/O, and apply them to projects.
- Work with motion control and vision systems as part of automation solutions.
- Present information clearly to customers, teams, and at company meetings.
Required education/experience
- Bachelors of Science in Business, Engineering or related field from a four year college or technical school.
- 2-5 years' experience with programming languages IEC 61131-3. C++, C# and Python
- Travel 25-30%
- Experience with electrical schematics.
- Experience with motion control and vision systems
- Programming in Automation is required.
- Understanding of PLC's, Motion Drives, Industrial PC's, and Distributed I/O.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present to customers, companywide, and departmental meetings
Preferred education/experience
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or business and 3+ years experience as a Automation expert within a regulated manufacturing environment.
- Objective C-Programming knowledge is a plus.
- Team player mentality, but able to work independently as required
- Experience with Windows, Windows Networking and Microsoft Applications.
