Overview
The Director will drive origination, client strategy, and senior level execution for digital infrastructure asset backed lending. This includes leading relationships with data center operators, fiber networks, tower companies, hyperscale partners, and private equity sponsors investing in digital assets. The Director will shape platform strategy, influence risk appetite, and lead complex structuring efforts across large scale secured financing transactions.
Responsibilities
- Originate new ABS and secured financing opportunities across the digital infrastructure ecosystem
- Lead senior client engagement with C suite teams at digital infrastructure platforms and sponsor backed businesses
- Oversee structuring and credit analysis of warehouse and term solutions backed by digital infrastructure assets
- Present credit packages to senior credit committees, articulating key risks, mitigants, and transaction economics
- Drive strategic initiatives for the ABS digital infrastructure business including market coverage, product development, and risk framework design
- Collaborate with capital markets teams on distribution or takeout opportunities when term ABS execution is relevant
- Oversee performance management for an active portfolio including network expansion metrics, contracted backlog trends, utilization, power availability, tenant diversification, and renewal risk
- Mentor and develop VP and associate level bankers
- Represent the bank at digital infrastructure conferences, industry events, and sponsor meetings
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in ABS lending, digital infrastructure finance, project finance, or specialty finance
- Deep understanding of digital infrastructure asset classes including data centers, dark fiber, small cells, towers, edge computing, and cloud connectivity networks
- Proven origination track record or clear ability to build senior relationships in the sector
- Strong structuring experience across large, complex secured financing transactions
- Ability to influence internal stakeholders across risk, credit policy, capital markets, and senior management
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with experience in high level committee settings
