Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Program Director for a respected community-based nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing health, dignity, and equitable access to essential services. This is a full-time, onsite leadership opportunity located in Watsonville, California.
Position Overview
The Program Director will provide strategic and operational leadership for a licensed adult day health program serving older adults and individuals with disabilities. This role oversees program quality, compliance, staff leadership, financial stewardship, and community engagement while ensuring services are delivered in a participant-centered and culturally responsive manner. The Director partners closely with executive leadership to strengthen program impact, regulatory alignment, and long-term sustainability.

Responsibilities
- Lead daily operations and strategic development of a licensed adult day health program, ensuring high-quality, person-centered services
- Supervise, coach, and develop interdisciplinary staff while fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including licensing standards, reporting requirements, and confidentiality policies
- Oversee budgeting, financial monitoring, vendor partnerships, billing oversight, and resource allocation in collaboration with finance leadership
- Serve as a liaison to families, community partners, healthcare providers, and regulatory agencies to promote program visibility and engagement
- Maintain a safe, welcoming, and prepared facility environment, including emergency preparedness and operational readiness
Qualifications
- Professional experience in healthcare, social services, aging services, or related community-based programs
- Demonstrated leadership and staff supervision experience
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance within licensed health or human services settings
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural, linguistic, and ability backgrounds
Compensation and Benefits
This exempt, full-time position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $100,000 to $115,000, commensurate with experience.
