We’re looking for a Director of E-Commerce to own the performance and evolution of our digital storefront and help scale the next phase of growth. About the Role The Director of E-Commerce is responsible for maximizing revenue and performance across our online store. This role sits at the intersection of marketing, merchandising, product, and technology — ensuring that traffic converts into revenue and customers have a seamless shopping experience. You will own the strategy and execution behind our website performance, promotions, merchandising, and conversion optimization efforts. You’ll work closely with the founders, growth team, creative team, product team, and development partners to continuously improve the customer journey and unlock new revenue opportunities. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic thinking with operational execution. This is a full-time, in-office role based in Costa Mesa, California. What You’ll Do
Own Website Revenue Performance
Improve conversion rate, average order value (AOV), and revenue per visitor Analyze funnel performance and identify opportunities for improvement Partner with the growth team to optimize landing pages for paid traffic
Lead Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
Develop and execute a structured experimentation roadmap Collaborate with CRO partners to design and implement A/B tests Improve product pages, cart experience, and checkout flows
Own Merchandising Strategy
Manage how products are presented and prioritized across the site Optimize product collections, bundles, and upsells Identify opportunities to increase AOV through merchandising and offers
Own Promotional Strategy
Plan and execute sitewide promotions and campaign launches Coordinate promotions with marketing, lifecycle, and product teams Ensure promotional strategy supports both growth and profitability
Own the Digital Commerce Platform
Partner closely with internal developers and external development teams to plan, scope, and ship site improvements Translate business goals into clear technical requirements and development tickets Manage the website roadmap and prioritize development resources Ensure landing pages, merchandising features, and CRO tests are implemented efficiently
Oversee Technical E-Commerce Infrastructure
Manage integrations across the e-commerce tech stack including analytics, lifecycle marketing, personalization, and operational systems Work with developers on front-end UX improvements and feature development Identify opportunities to improve site speed, performance, and mobile experience Evaluate and implement tools that improve conversion, merchandising, and user experience
Collaborate Cross-Functionally
Work with the growth team on landing page strategy and paid traffic performance Partner with the content and creative team on product page assets and merchandising visuals Coordinate with product and operations teams on launches and inventory planning

Have 5–8+ years of experience in e-commerce or digital commerce Have experience managing or optimizing a Shopify or headless Shopify storefront Are comfortable working directly with developers and technical teams Can translate business goals into clear technical requirements and roadmaps Have strong experience with CRO, merchandising, and website optimization Are highly analytical and comfortable making decisions based on data Thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment Are excited to work closely with founders and help scale a growing brand Nice to Have
Experience working with headless Shopify environments (Hydrogen, React, Next.js, etc.) Familiarity with modern e-commerce analytics tools such as GA4, Triple Whale, or similar platforms Experience working with experimentation and A/B testing tools Compensation
