19six is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Interior Designer to join our team in our Roseville or Sacramento office. We work across diverse and dynamic markets including civic, education, healthcare, housing, and hospitality. Our interiors team supports all 19six market sectors, offering opportunities for broad project exposure and meaningful impact. This position is ideal for a seasoned designer who excels in design leadership, project management, and staff supervision. The selected candidate will be responsible for organizing and coordinating all activities necessary for successful project completion — from pre-design through construction administration and close-out.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the design team to manage projects through all phases: pre-design, design development, construction documentation, construction administration, and close-out
Produce and interpret architectural plans; efficiently generate construction documents and revisions
Oversee quality control and ensure alignment with project scope, schedule, and budget
Coordinate design consultants and lead the Interiors project team (Job Captain, Designers, etc.)
Review and manage deliverables prepared by the project team
Oversee the production and coordination of construction documents
Prepare and draft client proposals and contracts
Manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining clear communication with clients and internal teams
Lead team and client meetings effectively and collaboratively
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in interior architecture or interior design (required)
Minimum 9+ years of experience in interior architecture/design, including project management
CID certification required; LEED accreditation is a plus
Experience with DSA and/or OSHPD/HCAI a plus
Proficiency in Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Highly motivated, positive, and solution-oriented
Demonstrated ability to manage project personnel and delegate tasks while maintaining overall accountability
Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
