Food Service Director

The Food Service Director oversees all operations of the dietary department, including food production, delivery, inventory, staff management, and budget control. Ensures compliance with nutrition, safety, and quality standards while maintaining high customer satisfaction. Responsibilities: Manage the day-to-day operations of the food service department Direct and monitor department budget and expenses Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate food service staff Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food regulations Maintain cleanliness, safety, and proper cash handling procedures Create and monitor staff schedules Represent Dining Services in facility meetings Implement safety procedures and perform other duties as assigned Hours:

9:00 AM – 5:00 PM (flexibility required) Mandatory Qualifications and Experience

Previous Food Service Director experience preferred Knowledge of dietary regulations and food safety standards Minimum 1 year supervisory experience in a medical facility Training in cost control, food management, and diet therapy Preferred Requirements

High school diploma required 3+ years food service managerial experience Specialized training in food preparation/management Certified Dietary Manager (NJ & PA) Serv-Safe certification preferred Strong computer, recordkeeping, and communication skills We Offer
