Shepherd University seeks an Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations and Compliance to join our team.
Responsibilities The Assistant Athletic Director for Internal Operations & Compliance is responsible for the oversight and administration of the department’s NCAA compliance program and internal athletic operations. This position ensures institutional control and adherence to NCAA, conference, and institutional regulations while supporting the daily operational needs of the athletics department. The role provides leadership in policy development, rules education, eligibility certification, and internal operational coordination.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in NCAA athletics administration or compliance.
Strong knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, preferably at the Division II level.
Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain confidentiality.
Experience working with compliance software (e.g., ARMS, Teamworks, or similar).
Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as needed
Must be able to travel, as needed
