At Roku, there are no bystanders. The Brand Activation team, part of the Roku Client Services group, manages and grows Roku’s partnerships with advertisers through Roku’s Ad Experience offerings, enabling clients to reach their business objectives. The team is a strategic partner to Roku’s Clients and the Roku Ad Sales team, playing a pivotal role in ensuring end-to-end success for advertising partners’ post-sale campaign execution. A Manager on the Brand Activation team combines hands-on knowledge with leadership experience. About the role
The Brand Activation team is a strategic partner to Roku’s Clients and the Roku Ad Sales team, playing a pivotal role in ensuring end-to-end success for advertising partners’ post-sale campaign execution. A Manager on the Brand Activation team requires a blend of hands-on individual contributor work and leadership experience. As a Manager, Brand Activation you will be a critical partner in supporting Roku sales and external client work, while creating and driving process and execution cross-functionally with internal teams. This role differs from a conventional management position in that you will manage a team of individual contributors and maintain alignment, while also possessing the operational savvy to collaborate with key stakeholders and drive change. You will leverage a deep understanding of the Ad Sales/Client Services role to drive process, support sales teams, and improve outputs for clients across Roku Ad Product offerings. You will be responsible for team-wide initiatives and operating procedures, ensuring the team properly supports business development to meet revenue goals. The Manager, Brand Activation will also manage campaign escalations and ensure appropriate resolution, especially on priority accounts, between cross-functional teams such as Sales, AdOps, Design, Product, and Marketing. A balance of strong project management, a client-first approach, and the ability to build relationships with partners in the Roku organization will be key to success. New York Only
– The estimated annual salary for this position is between $128,000 and $160,000 annually. Compensation packages are based on factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, certifications, and specific geographical location. This role is eligible for incentive compensation/commissions, health insurance, equity awards, life insurance, disability benefits, parental leave, wellness benefits, and paid time off. Responsible for leading a team focused on executing Roku Ad Product offerings, driving incremental revenue, upselling & revenue retention Oversee the delivery of tailored advertising solutions that meet client objectives and exceed expectations Oversee the operational aspects of execution, ensuring efficient processes, resource allocation, and compliance with industry standards Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and operational tools and efficiency Coordinate efforts between cross-functional teams, including Sales, Ad Ops, Product, Marketing, and Measurement Partner with GTM teams on new product rollouts for ad sales teams Develop understanding of how the Roku platform and ad products deliver brand value in support of client advertising goals Manage a team of 3-5 direct reports We’re excited if you have
5-8 years experience in account management/client services, program management at an ad tech company, publisher, or media agency 3+ years of people management experience Ambition to develop and nurture the development of others’ career growth Demonstrate excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently while using departmental resources, policies and procedures Possess excellent organizational, interpersonal, and influential written and verbal communication skills Knowledge of the Roku platform and ecosystem Proven track record of managing large-scale operations and delivering exceptional results in a fast-paced environment Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop a high-performing team Ability to build strong relationships with internal and external senior stakeholders, executive teams, and industry groups Collaborator mentality, resourceful, exceptional troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills Experience in display and video advertising with a premium publisher or agency Analytical, project management, deadline-driven, and process-oriented personality Experience with Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, Asana preferred Familiar with commercial digital ad serving tools for video and display Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent Our Hybrid Work Approach
