Job Department: Frames/ Wall Deco Department ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES We are looking for a full-time graphic designer to join our in-house Art Team, working in our midtown Manhattan location. This individual will be working as part of our art/design team and help us develop graphics and packaging layouts for a wide variety of housewares, lighting, décor, home office, and wall décor items. Develops graphic layouts for packaging design and preps production files for a wide variety of fashion-driven housewares, LED lighting, and wall décor items in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. Creates attractive product lifestyles, presenting items in appropriate room settings, following brand guidelines and trends using Photoshop and Lightroom. Evaluates the feasibility of design ideas and develops packaging solutions that highlight product features and benefits. As needed, builds packaging mock-ups and illustrations for presentations and approvals. Communicates daily with overseas factories to follow up with the packaging projects, to ensure timely and successful end-results. Reviews factory print proofs and mock-ups, makes necessary adjustments and approves final packaging samples for production. Performs related duties as assigned. COMPETENCIES Fluency in Adobe Creative Suite, focusing mainly on Illustrator, Photoshop, and Lightroom. InDesign knowledge is a plus. Advanced Photoshop skills -to create product lifestyle images, and the ability to manipulate product photography for new finishes, colors, or sizes, as needed. Team player to work in a collaborative environment with other designers and product development teams, reporting to the Art Director. Problem-solving personality The ability to create visuals for product presentations is a plus. Packaging construction knowledge and the ability to develop and adjust deadlines and production technical packages are a plus. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE BA/BFA Degree in Graphic Design or Related Field with 3+ years of Design Experience #J-18808-Ljbffr
