The Multi-Media Advertising Sales Executive is responsible for tactical and rapid account development of new business to grow advertising revenues.

Base salary plus uncapped commission.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Target business opportunities through strategic prospecting and fact-finding.
  • Identify qualified opportunities that have not run in company products for 13 months or greater and set face-to-face appointments for needs assessment meeting.
  • Exhibit a consultative selling style by conducting needs assessment by asking questions to learn the business goal and objectives of the prospect.
  • Analyze clients' advertising campaign objectives in order to prepare a creative solution by including all appropriate products that fit the clients' budget and campaign goals.
  • Effectively present solution-based advertising proposals and recommendations that consider and incorporate Gazette, digital, print and deliver and event opportunities.
  • Meet established monthly and annual revenue and account development goals.
  • Collaborate with manager to develop strategies that align with sales goals.
  • Communicate with manager on opportunities, customers, and general business conditions.
  • Maintain the dignity and identity of the team and team members.
  • Maintain focus and discipline in fulfilling your roles and executing the commitments of the team.
  • Keep client files organized.
  • Produce accurate work, keeping adjustments to a minimum while adhering to deadlines.
  • Submit reports and forecasts in a timely manner.
  • Advocate and demonstrate a superior level of excellent internal and external customer service.
  • Timely attendance during a regular and predictable schedule is required. Certain critical times of the workday exist during which duties of this position must be performed.

Minimum Education & Work Experience Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma or GED; BA/BS in Advertising, Marketing or related field a plus.

Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years sales experience; track record of success in prospecting and closing new business. Advertising experience a plus.

  • Proven track record and skill in closing sales
  • Self-motivation and plan daily priorities in a way that ensures a high sales closing ratio.
  • Strong oral presentation skills and ability to field questions from clients.
  • Advanced training and or experience in overcoming client objections.
  • Ability to think creatively and holistically along company product lines as it pertains to preparing plans and proposals.
  • Skilled in managing time wisely, leaving ample time in each day for high gain activities.
  • Ability to work with teams while treating clients, both internal and external, with dignity and respect.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and professional appearance to set the stage for sales success.
  • Must be reliable and sincere.
  • Effectively communicate in English, both written and oral. Spanish language skills a plus.
