Position Summary
The College of Engineering (COE) at Oregon State University (OSU) seeks a creative and enthusiastic student-employee to join our team as a Student Photographer.
The COE Marketing and Communications team produces a variety of content to enhance the college's image, reputation, and recruitment efforts including, magazines, promotional materials, and social media content.
In this role, you will play a pivotal part in capturing images and video that tell the story of COE and support the college's priorities and goals.
This recruitment will be used to fill a part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) student photographer position.

Assignments can include portrait, event, and lab/classroom photography and video sessions with a DSLR camera and/or smartphone.

- Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study
- Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment
- Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard
- High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program
- Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term
- Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*
- Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term
- Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*
Additional Required Qualifications
- Experience with DSLR cameras.
- Ability to work as a team member and effectively interact with co-workers, using a collaborative work style.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Experience creating social media content.
- Ability to meet deadlines set by the marketing and communications team.
- Comfortable engaging with students, faculty, and staff to capture dynamic energy of campus life and candid moments that highlight the student experience.
- Desire to learn new skills.
- Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, especially Lightroom and Photoshop.
- Experience with lighting equipment.
- Familiarity with the OSU brand guidelines.
