A specialized manufacturer of advanced

medical device packaging machinery

is seeking a

Sales Manager to lead business development across North America . The organization designs and builds

custom thermoforming and sterile packaging equipment

used in highly regulated medical manufacturing environments. Their solutions support sterile packaging operations for medical device manufacturers and contract packaging organizations globally. This role is ideal for a technically minded sales professional with experience selling

capital equipment or packaging machinery

into the

medical device manufacturing sector . The Sales Manager will drive new business growth, develop strategic relationships with medical device manufacturers, and collaborate with engineering teams to deliver customized machinery solutions. The position operates as a

remote, field-based role

with significant travel to customer sites, trade shows, and industry events throughout North America. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development & Sales Pipeline Develop and manage a

robust sales pipeline

aligned with annual revenue targets and strategic growth plans. Identify and secure

new business opportunities with medical device manufacturers and sterile packaging operations . Expand the prospect database and cultivate relationships with potential customers across North America. Maintain accurate opportunity tracking and customer engagement records within the company

CRM platform (Salesforce) . Drive sales performance to meet or exceed established revenue objectives. Account Management & Territory Development Manage relationships with

key multinational medical device customers

and strategic accounts. Conduct direct sales activities across assigned North American territories. Coordinate with and support

international sales agents and regional partners

where applicable. Provide consultative sales support by aligning customer technical requirements with engineered machinery solutions. Technical Sales Collaboration Work closely with internal

engineering and technical teams

to develop customized packaging machinery solutions. Demonstrate a strong understanding of

thermoforming, blister packaging, and pouch packaging technologies

used in sterile medical packaging. Support customers through the full sales cycle including technical discussions, proposal development, and solution configuration. Trade Shows & Industry Representation Represent the organization at

major medical packaging and manufacturing trade shows

throughout North America. Assist with booth setup, product demonstrations, and live machinery presentations. Support marketing initiatives through customer engagement, networking, and industry visibility. Sales Reporting & Strategy Participate in

monthly sales meetings

and provide pipeline updates and forecasting insights. Deliver structured project updates and sales performance reports to executive leadership. Contribute market insights and competitive intelligence to inform product strategy and sales planning. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience. Minimum

5+ years of capital equipment or machinery sales experience , ideally within

medical device manufacturing or sterile packaging environments . Demonstrated success selling

packaging machinery or related equipment into the medical device industry . Understanding of

medical device packaging standards and regulatory requirements . Experience working with

CRM systems such as Salesforce . Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand and communicate machinery capabilities and packaging materials. Excellent

organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills . Willingness to travel extensively across North America (approximately

60% overnight travel ). PREFERRED EXPERIENCE

Experience selling

thermoforming equipment, blister packaging machinery, or sterile pouch packaging systems . Familiarity with

international sales environments and global customer accounts . Experience supporting customers within

regulated medical manufacturing environments . Strong technical understanding of

packaging materials and packaging line integration . COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Base salary range:

$90,000 – $100,000 Base salary increase potential upon achieving annual revenue benchmarks Commission structure:

1–1.5% on equipment sales Performance-based bonus opportunities 401(k) with 5% company match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Short-term and long-term disability coverage 20+ days paid time off Car allowance or travel reimbursement TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS

Approximately

60% travel across North America , primarily Monday through Friday. Occasional international travel for training or strategic meetings. Participation in major industry events including

Pack Expo and other packaging trade shows INDUSTRY FOCUS
