The HR Director is a key member of the senior management team, shaping strategic initiatives and advancing HR best practices across the organization. The Director serves as a source of advice and assistance organization-wide on HR matters by providing expert counsel to leaders on HR policies, legal and market changes, and opportunities to improve operational effectiveness. The Director guides and develops the HR team while supporting day-to-day operations to ensure strong performance and continuous learning. All decisions and communications are grounded in BHH’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree required, Master's Degree Preferred. SHRM-SCP, SPHR, or CHHR credential(s) preferred. Experience: 3-5 years of HR Leadership experience required, preferably in acute care hospital setting; 1-3 years Supervisory experience required. Responsibilities

Provides leadership oversight for Human Resources and Volunteer programs. Demonstrates well developed customer service to all employees: displaying a professional image of Barrett Hospital & HealthCare. Ensures effective employee relations services driven by the Mission, Vision and Values of Barrett Hospital & HealthCare, focused on employee avocation of fair and consistent application of policy. Serves as a role model of Mission, Vision and Values. Supports continuous improvement in Human Resources Information systems providing user friendly support to all employees and managers. Provides annual analysis and reporting of compensation activities in an effort to proactively resolve outstanding issues in a systematic manner. Responsible for positive communication, automation and maintenance of cost effective employee benefits program. Determines the qualifications and competence of staff, identifies staff learning needs, promote employee development and advancement to meet individual and hospital needs. Provide a full range of employment services specifically focused on timely and effective processing of qualified employees within a professional image of recruitment and retention. Responsible to insure employee performance evaluations are completed timely through effective policy development and enforcement. Directs the formulation, implementation, and continual review of HR policies and procedures. Clarifies and ensures, fair and consistent, adherence to hospital and departmental policies and procedures Ensures appropriate orientation and training to staff. Ensures that strict confidentiality guidelines are understood and followed. Takes immediate disciplinary action with regard to a breach in confidentiality. Skills and Abilities

Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities, fostering trust-based relationships and guiding teams toward achieving goals. Possesses strong analytical and statistical abilities, with proven critical thinking and problem solving skills. Exhibits excellent interpersonal and presentation skills, effectively engaging with leadership, staff, vendors, and community partners. Communicates clearly and professionally through both verbal and written channels, tailoring messages to the intended audience. Motivates and influences team members to embrace change and contribute to organizational improvement. Performs effectively under pressure while meeting strict deadlines.
