Position Summary The Administrative Modernization Program (AMP) is seeking a creative and dynamic individual to join our team and provide support in multimedia and communications, as well as event and administrative support. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker and self-starter with a keen eye for detail. This role will support the Marketing and Communications Specialist and the Organizational Change Management (OCM) team in AMP.

This position reports to the AMP Marketing and Communications Specialist in University Information & Technology (UIT). UIT shares and supports the university’s overall mission by assisting all areas of the university to extend their programs, teaching, research, and communication throughout the world.

Position Duties

Create digital content, including graphics, videos, and infographics, for use on various platforms such as social media, websites, and email campaigns, that strictly adheres to OSU and UIT branding guidelines.

Create print pieces such as posters and flyers.

Assist with updating AMP website and SharePoint content.

Help the OCM team workshop, edit, and proof various communications projects.

Assist with event support such as event prep tasks, set up, and tear down, as well as event promotion.

Provide administrative support as needed.

Must be academically enrolled in a high school, community college, or university and pursuing a program or course of study

Must meet Academic Standing Requirements; students on academic suspension are not eligible for employment

Must meet the applicable minimal enrollment standard

High School student: Regularly enrolled in a high school or participating in a home-schooling program

Undergraduate and post-baccalaureate student: 6 credit hours per term

Undergraduate international student: 12 credit hours per term*

Graduate student officially admitted to Graduate School: 5 credit hours per term

Graduate international student officially admitted to Graduate School: 9 credit hours per term*

*International students may be allowed to carry fewer hours than specified above and still be considered “full-time” by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). A reduced course load is approved by the

Office of International Services

(OIS), and must be provided to the Student Employment Center.

Additional Required Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree seeking program at Oregon State University

Familiar with multimedia editing software (Adobe Creative Suite and Canva)

Familiar with Microsoft 365 tools (Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Excellent written and verbal communicator with exceptional proof-reading skills

Dependable, professional and conscientious

Available during academic terms and during academic breaks

Preferred (Special) Qualifications

Experience in event planning

Skilled in photography and photo editing

Creative Writing, Digital Communication Arts, Speech Communication, Business Administration, Communication, English or related majors
