Consultant

with a client in
San Jose, CA(Remote) . The ideal candidate has experience in optimizing performance, securing data integrity, and collaborating with developers on efficient database design.
Rate Range:
$55/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Consultant Job Responsibilities
Install, configure, and upgrade PostgreSQL databases while ensuring smooth and secure deployments.
Monitor database performance and proactively troubleshoot issues to maintain high availability.
Implement and manage robust backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data.
Optimize and tune database systems for improved performance and reliability.
Enforce database security, manage user access, and ensure data integrity across environments.
Collaborate with development teams on database design, architecture, and script automation for maintenance and monitoring.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4–6 years of hands‑on experience in PostgreSQL database administration.
Proven expertise in upgrading and optimizing PostgreSQL databases for performance and stability.
Strong ability to implement and manage database security, access controls, and data integrity processes.

Pay Details:
$55.00 to $60.00 per hour
