The ideal candidate has proven ability to do daily batch monitoring and perform deep RCA to resolve failures and performance issues.
Rate Range:
$45/hour to $60/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Consultant Job Responsibilities Include
Monitor and manage daily/overnight Unix and PL/SQL batch jobs, ensuring timely execution and recovery of failed steps.
Perform detailed root‑cause analysis (RCA) for failures and performance issues, producing clear corrective and preventive actions.
Analyze PL/SQL packages, queries, and data flows to identify defects, resolve data issues, and support performance tuning.
Support Manhattan DFIO/SCM configuration changes by validating behavior in lower environments and executing test scenarios.
Publish daily operational updates, prioritize incidents based on business criticality, and maintain adherence to change/incident processes.
Collaborate with DBAs, product teams, and business stakeholders to resolve technical issues and communicate status, ETAs, and impacts.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Information Systems, or an equivalent technical field.
8+ years of experience in PL/SQL development, Unix/Linux batch operations, and production support.
Strong expertise in Oracle PL/SQL, Unix shell scripting, batch job monitoring, RCA, and performance troubleshooting.
Hands‑on experience supporting Manhattan DFIO/SCM, including configuration validation, data flow understanding, and collaboration with product/DBA teams.
Pay Details $45.00 to $60.00 per hour
