Overview
Join our team as an Architectural Designer II at Gorman & Company! Gorman & Company is seeking a talented Architectural Designer II to support the design and delivery of impactful multifamily housing developments throughout the Southeast. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with our Lead Architect and project teams to bring thoughtful, community-focused designs to life—from early schematic concepts through construction documentation.
What You'll Do
Support architectural design efforts from schematic design through construction administration
Develop and coordinate drawings and documentation using Autodesk Revit
Collaborate with internal development and construction teams and external consultants
Assist with municipal approvals, entitlements, and stakeholder coordination
Help ensure projects meet design intent, regulatory requirements, and project timelines
Participate in project reviews, documentation updates, and technical coordination
What You\'ll Bring
Bachelor\'s degree in Architecture or a related field
Approximately 5+ years of professional architectural design experience
Experience working on multifamily housing projects
Strong proficiency in Autodesk Revit
Familiarity with the Atlanta metro area development environment and jurisdictions
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Photoshop is a plus
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Compensation & Benefits
$70,000 - $80,000 annual base salary, depending on experience
Hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two days remote
