Position: IDRC (Intoxicated Drivers Resource Center) Account Clerk/Receptionist The Burlington County Department of Human Services, Division of Behavioral Health has a full‑time opening for this position.

Duties Receive callers in person and via phone, determine their reasons for contacting the office, provide them with the required information according to department procedures and, as is possible, see that the desired objectives are achieved.

Written skills required for accurate and professional documentation in client records.

Deal with disgruntled callers with professionalism and courtesy; elevate to the director as needed.

Review client files (paper and electronic) thoroughly.

Customer service skills are required.

Manage all documentation stemming from these calls – letters/correspondence to and from court, the state, and the client.

Issue official documentation to court and the state, and follow up at intervals determined by the state.

Create and maintain client charts, retrieving information from state databases efficiently and orderly.

Label and organize by class date.

Maintain confidentiality of these records in accordance with federal privacy laws (HIPAA & US 42 CFR 2).

Manage all incoming payments, keep records, and prepare monthly financial reports.

Issue receipts and refunds as needed.

Maintain records of department’s income transactions, and prepare requisitions, vouchers, and bank deposits.

Receive, sort, and distribute incoming letters and packages.

Experience

Minimum of two (2) years of experience using standard office technology, including email, word processing, and data entry systems.

Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the preparation, maintenance, and/or review and verification of financial records.

Education

Minimum associate's degree in accounting, finance, or a human services related field.

Schedule 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
