Town of Mexico, Maine - Town Manager / Road Commissioner

The Town of Mexico, Maine is accepting applications with resume for a qualified and motivated individual to serve as Town Manager with additional duties as the town Road Commissioner.

Position Summary The Town Manager serves as the chief administrative officer of the town, implementing policies and additional tasks as set by the Select Board, while overseeing day-to-day municipal operations with management of personnel through department heads.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Administer daily operations of town government

Prepare and manage the annual municipal budget

Attend Select Board and other applicable meetings

Ensure town remains compliant with local, state, and federal regulations

Communicate effectively with residents, staff, and officials

Oversee municipal contracts, apply for applicable grants, and manage capital improvement projects

Qualifications

Experience in municipal management, TRIO-web software, public administration or a preferred direct related field

Knowledge of municipal government functions and budgeting

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Ability to work collaboratively with elected officials and interact with the public

Residency requirements: must live within 25 miles of Mexico Maine town line

Compensation

Salary: commensurate with experience
