We’re looking for a Creative Strategist to help develop high-performing creative for paid social advertising, with the opportunity to influence broader social content strategy. This role sits at the intersection of performance marketing, creative ideation, and social media trends, helping translate paid social data into actionable creative concepts that drive engagement and conversions across platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Meta, and YouTube. Y ou’ll work closely with our Head of Content and creative team to analyze paid social performance, identify winning hooks and ad angles, and develop creative ideas that can scale across our advertising campaigns. While the primary focus of this role is paid social creative, insights from ad performance will also help inform organic social content and brand storytelling, ensuring our content strategy stays aligned with what resonates most with our audience. This role is ideal for someone who is both analytical and creative, with a strong interest in performance marketing, direct-response creative, and short-form video content. This is a full-time, in-office role based in Costa Mesa, California. Responsibilities Analyze paid social performance (Meta, TikTok, YouTube, etc.) to identify creative trends, winning formats, and new testing opportunities Develop new ad concepts, hooks, and storytelling angles based on performance insights and campaign goals Draft creative briefs, scripts, and concept outlines for videographers, editors, and content creators Work closely with the Head of Content to structure creative testing frameworks and iterate on winning ideas Monitor social media trends, emerging formats, and creator content to identify new creative opportunities Conduct competitor and industry research to inform ad angles and campaign strategy Contribute ideas for product launches, seasonal campaigns, and ongoing paid social testing Identify organic social content opportunities that can translate into scalable paid social creative Help maintain a pipeline of new creative tests and concepts to support ongoing performance marketing efforts Leverage paid social performance insights to inform organic social content and creative direction Qualifications 1–3 years of experience in social media marketing, paid social, creative strategy, or performance marketing Familiarity with paid social platforms such as Meta, TikTok, and YouTube Strong understanding of short-form video formats, social media trends, and platform-native storytelling Ability to analyze performance data and translate insights into creative concepts and testing ideas Strong interest in direct-response advertising and performance creative Excellent organizational, research, and communication skills Experience writing creative briefs, scripts, or ad concepts is a plus What Success Looks Like Consistently identifying high-potential creative ideas from paid social performance insights Developing clear, actionable creative briefs and concepts that lead to high-performing ad content Proactively surfacing social trends, creator formats, and competitor insights that inform creative testing Helping maintain a steady pipeline of new creative ideas to support ongoing paid media experimentation Contributing strong creative concepts that support campaign launches and ongoing paid social growth You Might Be a Great Fit If You enjoy analyzing why certain ads and social content perform well and are naturally curious about the psychology behind what makes people stop scrolling. You’re comfortable turning data and performance insights into creative ideas , and enjoy brainstorming new concepts, angles, and hooks to test in paid campaigns. You like working collaboratively with creative teams and helping shape video concepts, scripts, and briefs that bring ideas to life. You’re someone who enjoys both creative thinking and analytical problem solving , and you’re excited about learning how performance marketing works behind the scenes.
