The Village of Mount Horeb, located just 15 minutes west of Madison, is seeking a collaborative professional to serve as

Senior Services Director for Southwest Dane Outreach . This leadership position oversees senior services, community outreach programs, nutrition programs, case management, and volunteer coordination for older adults in the Southwest Dane service area.

Southwest Dane Outreach currently serves approximately

110 active case management clients

and offers a variety of services designed to support older adults in maintaining independence, health, and connection within the community.

The Director plays a key role in overseeing program operations, supervising staff and volunteers, managing budgets and funding sources, and building partnerships that ensure effective delivery of outreach, nutrition, and supportive services.

Compensation

Compensation will be based on qualifications and experience. Candidates are encouraged to include salary expectations with their applications.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and oversee outreach programs and services supporting older adults in the Southwest Dane service area

Manage case management services, wellness programming, meal site operations, transportation services, and nutrition programs

Develop departmental goals, strategic initiatives, and service improvements

Supervise, train, and support staff and volunteers while developing staffing plans and schedules

Manage the department's operating budget, monitor expenditures, and administer grants and contracts

Oversee Senior Center operations, including facility oversight and financial management of program funds

Build partnerships with community organizations, funding sources, and local agencies

Represent Southwest Dane Outreach at Village, Outreach Board, and community meetings

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in social work, gerontology, human services, public administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Three (3) years of supervisory, administrative, or program coordination experience

Experience working with community service programs and diverse populations

Valid Wisconsin driver's license

Preferred Qualifications

Five or more years of supervisory or program management experience in a municipal, nonprofit, or human services environment

Experience administering budgets, grants, or contract‑funded programs

Demonstrated experience supervising staff and volunteers

Knowledge of aging services systems, nutrition programs, and community resource networks serving older adults
