Position Overview Account Executive manages the execution of client projects and ensures that the day‑to‑day workflow of a project through the agency is executed with excellence. They have a clear understanding of the client’s challenge or opportunity, brand, objectives, and success measures and lead project teams in the development of brand experience campaigns and execution plans. The role assists in the growth and development efforts of existing clients as needed and is responsible for general oversight (and training where appropriate) of Account Coordinators and interns to ensure that projects are completed successfully, on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
Own the development and execution of events and experiential marketing campaigns. Deliver excellence against assigned tasks and ensure client deliverables are being achieved.
Liaise with and maintain regular contact with project team members and clients to ensure effective communication flow.
Participate in and/or lead client meetings and presentations. Present ideas, findings, and/or solutions as directed.
Drive, manage, and communicate status on projects from conception through launch. Troubleshoot issues, recommend actionable solutions.
Ensure program timelines and milestone documents are developed for each project and that next steps, deliverables, and dates are being met.
Communicate with and build relationships with clients. Update project team members on client discussion points, potential challenges, and/or new insights and learnings.
Research, procure, and price venues, talent, speakers, and vendors for proposals/concepts. Provide recommendations that are on strategy, executable within the timeline and budget, and that bring the concept to life in the best way.
Provide options and recommendations for stated deliverable(s).
Execute bid process and solicit quotes.
Execute contract process; provide details to Client Services lead or project team member as necessary.
Support production team members in the search for new vendors if scope of project changes while in production.
Develop and manage profitable budgets.
Review budgets with clients, answer questions, and/or provide additional information as requested to gain client alignment/approvals.
Monitor budgets frequently; work to achieve positive net revenue results.
Provide client updates on project budgets as necessary on a regular basis.
Re‑align client expectations if scope changes; estimate increases and produce a revised budget or PCNs to facilitate client discussions/approval.
Ensure that time tracking is proactively occurring for each project.
Pull time reports (or ensure that the Account Coordinator does) and compare hours spent to hours budgeted; share findings with the Account lead.
Present a general hours status that includes a POV on trends and potential challenges to the Account lead; propose solutions as needed.
Conduct the actualization process with Production lead. Once all information is organized, finalize the actualization process with the Controller.
Ensure quality control for all projects (against client mandatories, brand standards, and client‑directed revisions).
Develop and format client presentations, written communications, creative elements, and other project‑related content pieces as directed.
Work with project team members to ensure all elements (and necessary versions) are completed against the brief, proofed, and produced within stated deadlines.
Communicate with clients to obtain necessary feedback and/or approvals on all creative and digital elements.
Liaise with clients and support on‑site requests as needed.
Conduct post‑program analysis. Develop program recaps including results achieved, learnings, and recommendations for future executions.
Train, mentor and provide general oversight of Account Coordinators and/or interns as appropriate.
Preserve and foster EA’s culture and maintain a positive and forward‑thinking attitude.
Qualifications
2–5 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Marketing, Communications, Business, or another related field a plus.
Agency experience and/or event and experiential marketing experience is highly preferred.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Excellent organizational and project‑management skills.
Must enjoy working and collaborating with teams.
Must be proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and Keynote.
Must be willing to travel as needed.
Salary Range: $62,000 to $68,000 based on experience and education.
