This contract-to-hire opportunity is intended to transition to a full-time position, offering a comprehensive benefits package as a W2 employee, including medical, dental, vision coverage, a 401k plan with company matching, and life insurance.
Rate: $30.00 to $40.00/hr. W2
Responsibilities:
- Conduct and synthesize qualitative and quantitative UX research via interviews, surveys, usability testing, heuristic evaluations, and A/B testing.
- Develop research methodologies that align with business objectives and user requirements, emphasizing accessibility.
- Analyze data and distill insights into actionable recommendations for product and design strategies.
- Utilize tools like Google Analytics to assess user behavior and pinpoint usability challenges.
- Promote user-centered design principles and integrate research insights across all stakeholder teams.
- Create wireframes, user flows, mockups, and interactive prototypes using design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD.
- Design accessible and visually engaging interfaces for web and application products.
- Ensure responsive designs optimized for a range of devices and platforms.
- Include interaction design elements like transitions, animations, and user feedback mechanisms in your work.
- Conduct accessibility testing and apply best practices to meet WCAG standards.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure adherence to accessibility requirements.
- Work alongside product managers, developers, and stakeholders within agile or iterative workflows.
- Effectively present findings, design rationale, and recommendations during reviews.
- Communicate progress proactively and identify potential risks or challenges.
Experience Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in UX research, wireframing, prototyping, and visual design.
- Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD for at least 4 years.
- Solid understanding of usability principles, design systems, and WCAG accessibility guidelines for a minimum of 4 years.
- Experience with user interviews, usability testing, and A/B testing for at least 4 years.
- At least 1 year of experience utilizing Google Analytics or similar tools to guide decisions.
- Proficiency in creating both low- and high-fidelity designs and interactive prototypes.
- Strong grasp of typography, color theory, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Ability to develop intuitive interactions and responsive designs for various devices.
- Expertise in information architecture and navigation design.
- Familiarity with Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite; basic knowledge of HTML/CSS preferred.
- Track record of planning and iterating designs based on usability feedback.
- Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, keen attention to detail, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective teamwork.
- A commitment to staying updated with evolving UX research methods and design best practices.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
