Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to join their team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This individual will oversee on-site construction operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in alignment with quality standards.
Responsibilities Include:
Manage all laydown areas, staging, and site logistics.
Perform or coordinate inspections to meet safety and compliance regulations; ensure all trades conform to OSHA standards and lead site safety initiatives.
Coordinate scheduling of subcontractors, consultants, inspectors, and vendors, including maintaining a 3-week lookahead schedule.
Monitor workmanship and materials to ensure quality control standards are met at all project stages.
Collaborate with Project Managers to maintain alignment with project schedules and objectives.
Communicate effectively with the project team and support subcontractors to ensure efficient execution of duties.
Travel between multiple job sites and manage concurrent project workloads as needed.
Identify and resolve project issues and conflicts; organize meetings and administer RFIs in coordination with the Project Manager.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site, including enforcing waste disposal and environmental standards.
Review and verify subcontractor layouts to ensure conformance with plans and specifications.
Coordinate material deliveries, site access, unloading, and storage logistics.
Provide photo documentation of project progress.
Qualifications:
5+ years of related construction experience.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, Procore, and Microsoft Project.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Strong comprehension of technical documents, including safety regulations and procedural manuals.
Excellent verbal communication skills, particularly when interacting with clients and visitors.
Detail-oriented with the ability to identify non-conformance issues and propose solutions.
Experience managing RFIs alongside Project Managers.
Familiarity with standard office and field equipment (digital cameras, copiers, computers, etc.).
Ability to stand for extended periods and walk on uneven terrain in varying weather conditions.
Experience managing demanding clients and delivering creative, solutions-based outcomes.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
