Job Summary The Area Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by managing customer relationships, renewing existing service agreements, and developing new business opportunities within an assigned territory. This role focuses on consistent territory coverage, disciplined pipeline management, and applying value‑based sales strategies to win competitive opportunities. The Area Sales Manager will work closely with customers to understand their business needs, present tailored solutions, and ensure long‑term client satisfaction while achieving sales targets and expanding market share.
Responsibilities and Duties
Develop and execute a territory sales plan to grow revenue and expand market presence
Manage and renew existing customer service agreements in a timely manner
Implement annual price adjustments while maintaining strong customer relationships
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow sales pipeline
Conduct customer discovery conversations to understand business drivers and decision criteria
Present value‑based solutions that differentiate services beyond price
Manage sales opportunities through the full sales cycle from prospecting to close
Maintain accurate sales pipeline, activity tracking, and forecasting within CRM systems
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure strong customer experience and retention
Monitor sales performance metrics such as win rates, pipeline health, and deal progression
Travel within assigned territory to meet with customers and develop new opportunities
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent sales experience
Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales quotas
Strong prospecting and territory management skills
Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or similar systems
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills
Ability to identify customer needs and present value‑driven solutions
Strong organizational and time‑management skills
Self‑motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team
Physical Demands Must be able to travel frequently for customer meetings and territory coverage Occasional lifting of materials up to 25 pounds may be required
Working Environment Travel up to 50% may be required for in‑person customer meetings within the assigned territory
