About the Role: The Retention Marketing Coordinator role supports the execution of Bushbalm’s retention marketing program with a key focus on our email and SMS programs.
This newly created role is highly detail‑oriented and process‑driven, focused on building, QAing, and deploying campaigns that support product launches, promotions, and evergreen revenue goals.
The starting salary range for this position is $45,000 to $55,000 CAD.
Responsibilities: Campaign Deployment:
Manage the end‑to‑end execution of Email and SMS campaigns, including one‑time broadcasts and automated flows (Welcome, Abandoned Cart, Post‑Purchase, and Win‑back). Leverage AI tools to assist with copy iteration, subject line testing, and campaign optimization.
Rigorous Quality Assurance (QA):
Serve as the final line of defense by testing links, discount codes, segmentation logic, and creative rendering across devices to ensure a flawless customer experience.
Launch & Promo Support:
Coordinate the technical setup for product launches and site‑wide promotions, ensuring all retention touchpoints are synchronized and functional.
Audience Segmentation:
Build and maintain customer segments within ESP and SMS platforms to ensure the right message reaches the right customer at the right time. Use AI‑assisted insights to refine targeting and personalization.
Performance Monitoring:
Track and report on core retention KPIs, including Open Rates, Click‑Through Rates (CTR), Unsubscribe Rates, and Revenue per Recipient, using AI‑supported analysis to identify optimization opportunities.
Cross‑Functional Collaboration:
Partner closely with the Senior Strategist and Brand Marketing Manager to align retention campaigns with Bushbalm’s product launches, retail moments (Ulta, Amazon, etc.), promotions, and evergreen priorities.
Who You Are: Platform Experience:
You have 1‑2 years experience with industry‑standard retention tools like Klaviyo and Postscript.
Detail‑Obsessed:
You have a natural knack for spotting typos or broken links that others might miss.
Process‑Driven:
You enjoy following (and improving) checklists and workflows to ensure nothing falls through the cracks.
Technical Aptitude:
Comfortable navigating e‑commerce backends and automation logic. Experience with tools like Hubspot or monday.com is a significant plus.
DTC Familiarity:
An understanding of the DTC landscape, ideally within the beauty or wellness space.
