Proposal & Solutions Specialist

to join our Growth & Strategy Team who will be responsible for supporting solutioning development and writing compelling, compliant proposals to increase Aleut’s customer base. This includes working with capture leads and opportunity leads to develop winning, competitive proposals.

Essential Job Functions

Craft proposals that are clear, concise, accurate, and compliant with established templates and submission requirements

Lead peer reviews of content with strong attention to detail and adherence to requirements

Write, edit, and format proposal content including solution narratives, management approaches, technical descriptions, presentations, and supporting documentation

Maintain consistency in language, tense, formatting, and overall presentation across proposal materials

Support solution development by translating business, technical, and operational concepts into customer-focused written responses

Analyze proposal requirements and assist in developing responses that address customer objectives and evaluation criteria

Coordinate with proposal managers, project managers, and contributors to meet scheduled milestones and submission deadlines

Manage assigned proposal sections or smaller pursuits with minimal supervision

Incorporate feedback from internal reviews and refine content through final submission

Support continuous improvement of proposal processes, templates, and content standards

Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion

Qualifications Required

Bachelor’s degree in business, English, Communications, Information Technology or equivalent experience

4-7 years of experience in proposal writing for federal government

Experience supporting structured proposal processes from kickoff through submission

Strong writing and editing skills with a high level of attention to detail

Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Preferred

Experience supporting consulting, technology, or professional services proposals

Experience working with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts

Interest in developing proposal strategy and solutioning skills

Clear, concise written communication skills

Strong organizational and time-management skills

Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and deadlines

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
