Outbound Outreach Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Outbound Outreach Specialist to support one of our PBM clients. This role is heavily phone-based and focused exclusively on outbound calls to provider offices to obtain additional clinical and administrative information required for medication review and authorization workflows.

This position is ideal for candidates who are comfortable on the phone, detail-oriented, and experienced working in healthcare environments involving providers, insurance companies, or PBMs.

Key Responsibilities

Make outbound calls only 10+ outbound calls per hour to physician and provider offices

Contact providers to request and collect:

Additional clinical information

Diagnosis details

Medication information

Supporting documentation aligned with PBM guidelines

Clearly explain outreach purpose and guide provider offices on required information

Accurately document all call outcomes and details in internal systems

Perform heavy data entry while maintaining accuracy and compliance

Follow established call scripts, outreach guidelines, and training protocols

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and complete information capture

Skills and Requirements

1–5+ years of relevant experience in healthcare, PBM, insurance, or provider-facing roles

Strong background in high-volume outbound phone work

Experience communicating with:

Physician offices

Medical staff

Insurance or PBM representatives

Proven ability to manage heavy data entry and documentation

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, metrics-driven environment

Strong verbal communication, professionalism, and phone etiquette

Basic computer proficiency and ability to navigate multiple systems

Previous work-from-home experience
