is seeking an
Estimator
to join its preconstruction team. This role will focus on estimating mechanical scopes including
HVAC, plumbing, and process piping
across a variety of commercial and industrial projects. This is a great opportunity to join a respected contractor with a strong reputation in the region, a collaborative estimating team, and opportunities for long-term growth. Key Responsibilities
Prepare estimates for mechanical construction projects up to approximately $1M Perform quantity takeoffs and develop accurate cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors Review drawings, specifications, and bid documents to develop competitive proposals Solicit and evaluate pricing from subcontractors and vendors Understand project schedules, construction methods, and site conditions to support accurate pricing Compile detailed bid packages and assist in preparing proposals for submission Manage multiple estimates and bid timelines simultaneously Collaborate with senior estimators, project management, and operations teams during preconstruction Qualifications
1-5+ years of estimating experience within mechanical construction Experience estimating HVAC, plumbing, or process piping systems Exposure to projects such as laboratories, pharmaceutical facilities, healthcare environments, breweries, and industrial projects is preferred Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and bid documents Strong understanding of mechanical construction materials and installation methods Strong communication and organizational skills Experience with estimating software such as Autobid / QuickPen and Bluebeam preferred What The Company Offers
