Our Arizona based client is seeking a National Facilities Director for a direct-hire opportunity in Dallas Texas supporting a nationwide multifamily portfolio. This exempt, leadership-level role offers the opportunity to build, standardize, and elevate facilities operations across properties nationwide while partnering closely with executive leadership.

National Facilities Director Role
- The National Facilities Director provides strategic leadership for maintenance operations, facilities management, and capital project execution across a nationwide portfolio.
- Lead and execute a national facilities management strategy aligned with organizational goals.
- Establish and enforce maintenance, safety, and operational standards across all properties.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight to Regional Service Specialists and property-level maintenance leaders.
- Drive capital planning, budgeting, and large-scale project management.
- Oversee vendor sourcing, contract negotiation, bid analysis, and performance monitoring.
- Standardize OSHA, environmental, safety, and sustainability programs.
- Support due diligence for acquisitions, property transitions, and portfolio assessments.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to enhance operational efficiency and property performance.
- Lead emergency response and disaster recovery planning.
- Manage corporate-level facilities staff with indirect oversight of property-level maintenance teams.
- Ability to travel 20%-25%.
National Facilities Director Background Profile
Bachelor's degree required.
Technical foundation: BS in Engineering, Construction Management, Real Estate, or similar discipline.
Experience: 3–6 years in real estate operations, facilities, engineering, or project management enough to understand property operations, capital projects, building systems, and vendor management, while maintaining strategic perspective.
Current or prior role: VP of Business Development, Director of Strategy/Operations, Senior Project Manager managing large portfolios, or a high performing individual contributor with enterprise-level responsibility.

- Comfort managing multiple workstreams, stakeholders, and timelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interface with C-suite, investors, and operational teams.
- Project management discipline: ability to scope, plan, execute, and report on initiatives.
- Pace and adaptability: thrives in fast-moving environments without hand-holding.
Preferred qualifications
- Facilities management, engineering, or operational experience across multifamily, commercial office, industrial, hospitality, student housing, or senior living.
- Experience in capital planning, budgeting, project management, and vendor oversight.
- HVAC and A/C & R certifications a highly preferred.
