Creative Financial Staffing (CFS) has partnered with a mission-driven nonprofit organization to identify a Director of Human Resources to lead their HR function. This is a key leadership position overseeing all aspects of HR strategy and operations in a unionized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership for all HR functions, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, training, and development.

  • Serve as the primary HR liaison for union relations, including contract negotiations, grievance management, and labor strategy.

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and organizational policies.

  • Partner with leadership to design and implement HR programs that support retention, engagement, and organizational growth.

  • Lead initiatives around diversity, equity, inclusion, and workforce development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • 7+ years of progressive HR experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership role.

  • Union experience is required – demonstrated success in contract negotiations and labor relations.

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.

  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
