We are a church‑related non‑profit community service organization dedicated to providing services for older adults. We are currently seeking a dynamic, compassionate leader who brings creativity and heart to every interaction. Join our team as a Health Center Director of Activities – Full Time, with required weekend availability.

Job Summary Plan, develop, and direct the overall operation of the Health Center and ACLF activity departments in accordance with regulatory guidelines and our established policies and procedures. Design an ongoing program of activities that meets the interests and abilities of each resident while ensuring compliance and promoting person‑centered experiences.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and produce the monthly activity calendar; enter activities into the system.

Complete MDS and Resident Care Plans by adding quarterly progress notes.

Facilitate Resident Council Meetings and follow up on concerns or issues raised during the meetings.

Plan and manage resident’s therapeutic recreation activities and entertainment.

Manage and supervise the work for the Activities Assistants.

Prepare, plan, and submit budgets to the direct supervisor for activities coordinated by the department.

Participate in Fundraising & Volunteering Activities for the community.

Essential Qualifications

Four (4) year degree in Therapeutic Recreation or a related area.

Must be a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (or eligible for certification) or have a degree in Occupational Therapy with an emphasis on ADRD, or be certified as an Activity Director.

Minimum two years of experience in recreational and activities programs in long‑term care, working with independent older adults who have ADRD.

Knowledge of event planning and Alzheimer’s disease preferred.

Knowledge of holiday traditions for the local community preferred.

Certified Recreation Therapist preferred.
