Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Benefits Specialist to provide exceptional customer service and support in the administration of health and welfare benefit programs. This role involves assisting with leave of absence administration and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
Answer general inquiries and provide a high level of customer service to employees regarding benefits and leave of absence (LOA) procedures, policies, eligibility rules, and regulations.
Stay updated on the company’s benefits, including policies, eligibility rules, and general regulations.
Assist with the administration of all health and welfare benefit programs, LOA administration, and various other benefit programs.
Proactively identify and implement workable solutions to issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Proven knowledge of HRIS systems
Working knowledge of federal and state laws pertaining to Human Resources/Benefits
Ability to keep sensitive employee information confidential
Ability to work as an effective team member, establishing and maintaining positive, professional business relationships
Exceptional interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills
Computer proficiency including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams)
Proficiency in the English language is required
Additional Skills & Qualifications
College degree or equivalent experience in related departments
At least two years of benefits administration experience preferred
ADP Enterprise experience is a plus
Work Environment This position is based on-site from Monday to Friday, with working hours from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Columbia, MD.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
