Process Improvement Specialist

The Process Improvement Specialist will drive operational excellence by analyzing and redesigning legal and business workflows, gathering and translating requirements, and enabling technology-led improvements across practices and business services. Acting as a bridge between end-users and technical teams, the role blends hands-on project delivery with adoption and change management to deliver measurable gains in turnaround time, quality, and client economics. Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Process Optimization:
Map current-state workflows, identify friction points, document requirements, and design improved procedures using appropriate methodologies. Define KPIs and benefits measures to track outcomes.
Technology Enablement & Adoption:
Partner with Innovation and IT to deploy and integrate tools (e.g., document automation, AI-enabled review, collaboration platforms). Develop training, targeted resources, and 1:1 coaching. Monitor usage to surface insights and iterate.
Change Management & Stakeholder Engagement:
Serve as liaison between lawyers, business stakeholders, and delivery teams. Run workshops, focus groups, and feedback loops. Execute communications to support readiness and sustain adoption.
Project Delivery & Continuous Improvement:
Contribute to cross-functional initiatives (practice groups, Pricing, Practice Management, LPM, KM). Conduct post-implementation reviews to validate ROI. Triage, escalate, and coordinate resolution of user issues and enhancement requests. Maintain process maps and solution documentation.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of work experience, preferably in a client services business Experience in business analysis, process improvement, legal operations, or similar in professional services; ability to translate complex requirements into clear, actionable solutions. Familiarity with legal tech platforms and collaboration tools; comfort learning new technology. Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and KPI/benefits tracking; strong analytical skills and comfort working with data. Excellent written and verbal communication. Proven stakeholder engagement and influence skills. Proactive, client-focused problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment; experience with adoption/change management is a plus. This position will require physical presence in Proskauer's offices on a regular basis (at least 3x per week, or more, if it becomes the policy of the Firm or as business needs require). The anticipated compensation for this position is $75,000 - $100,000. The actual salary offered will be based on a number of factors including but not limited to the qualifications of the applicant, years of relevant experience, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
