Responsibilities:
Build a collaborative and trusting atmosphere within the team.
Clearly communicate company policies and departmental goals to associates.
Set performance targets and empower team members to reach their potential.
Develop work schedules that align with customer needs.
Train and mentor associates, contributing to their performance reviews.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and company protocols.
Create a positive shopping experience by assisting customers with inquiries.
Promote Beer, Wine, and Spirits specials and introduce customers to new products.
Maintain a positive and energetic attitude.
Develop and implement a strategic business plan for the department.
Work alongside management on promotional events, budget planning, and financial reports.
Oversee inventory management and report any discrepancies.
Ensure pricing accuracy and maintain updated shelf tags.
Monitor inventory temperatures and keep regulatory logs.
Advocate for safety protocols, proactively identifying and mitigating hazards.

Qualifications:
Minimum:
Must be at least 21 years old.
Excellent communication skills.
Basic math skills.
Able to handle high-pressure situations with composure.
Preferred:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Previous management experience is a plus.
Familiarity with Beer, Wine, and Liquor products.
Understanding of industry terminology and methods.
Prior retail experience.
Knowledge of various beer and wine types and production processes.
Aware of current trends in specialty beverages.
Ability to communicate in a second language is an asset.
