COBRA Representative

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, COBRA/Eligibility, the COBRA Rep. must properly apply all COBRA enrollment guidelines/policies to each situation and answer questions correctly from member, group administrators and Plan staff and have knowledge of how the Department's functions affect other Plan Departments. Required: High School Graduate or Equivalent Experience with Microsoft Office and Excel Excellent written and oral communication skills Self-Starter, detail oriented, and ability to work independently. Excellent organization skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. Desired: Prior experience in COBRA administration. Prior experience in health insurance arena. Prior customer service experience. Responsibilities: Assist with daily functions, COBRA entry and processing in the COBRA system. Assist with auditing the daily enrollment reports and the COBRA reports to assure no COBRA changes are missed. Ability to assist in phone calls and any lobby traffic. Establish and maintain a positive-cooperative working relationships Work with the Account Executives and Employer groups answering any COBRA questions. Assist with the Enrollment Dept. when needed. Works Independently to meet all deadlines. Document clear, complete, contemporaneous notes with proper grammar, correct spelling, correct punctuation, and correct numerical key strokes. Communicate effectively with both internal and external participants. Familiar with Microsoft Outlook and the ability to email and attached correspondence.
