About the Role
The Director of Sales will drive total hotel revenue through strategic sales leadership, market positioning, and hands‑on business development. This role oversees group, corporate, and local market segments while partnering closely with Revenue, Marketing, and Operations to deliver exceptional results.
What You’ll Own
- Develop and execute the hotel’s total sales strategy
- Lead proactive group and corporate prospecting efforts
- Drive local Miami and South Florida market penetration
- Maximize revenue across rooms, events, and social spaces
- Analyze market trends and competitor positioning
- Recruit, coach, and inspire the sales team
- Build strong community and brand partnerships
- Collaborate with Marriott systems and reporting tools to ensure performance excellence
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of hotel sales leadership experience (lifestyle or Marriott brand preferred)
- Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets
- Strong group and corporate sales background
- High energy, entrepreneurial mindset
- Deep understanding of the South Beach/Miami market a must
- Experience with Marriott systems (CI/TY, MarRFP, etc.) preferred
