Position Summary

The Project Director oversees commercial roofing projects and small repair work from start to finish while providing hands‑on field leadership. This role partners with Site Technicians, Sales, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed safely, on time, and to Apple Roofing’s quality standards.

The Project Director serves as key field support for the Operations Director and helps deliver a consistent, high‑quality customer experience aligned with our purpose of building a sweeter experience.

Key Responsibilities

Project & Operations Management

  • Manage projects from initiation through closeout
  • Create and maintain project schedules and timelines
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and materials
  • Monitor progress and resolve issues or delays
  • Allocate resources to meet project demands

Field Support & Site Oversight

  • Provide on‑site support, inspections, and documentation
  • Serve as boots‑on‑the‑ground support for Operations leadership
  • Conduct site walks and assist Sales with documentation when needed
  • Step in to support field operations during high‑volume periods

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Uphold company quality control standards
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and policies
  • Promote a strong safety‑first culture
  • Address quality or safety concerns promptly

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate project records and job documentation
  • Track progress, materials, and labor
  • Provide regular status updates to leadership

Qualifications

  • Experience in roofing, construction, or field operations
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety and quality standards
  • Proven ability to manage projects and timelines
  • Organized, reliable, and detail‑oriented
  • Hands‑on, adaptable, and self‑motivated
  • Strong communication and problem‑solving skills
