position for someone who is based anywhere at all in Germany. If you speak fluent GERMAN, love food (and cooking!) and want a role that doesn’t tie you down to working in an office, then this is a wonderful opportunity. In this role you will work remotely for a UK food business, and you will therefore manage your own diary. In this role you will be selling exotic Chinese food ingredients to restaurant owners and supermarkets.

that sells high‑end Asian (mainly Chinese & Korean) ingredients into the UK, Europe and beyond. The day‑to‑day will involve talking to (and visiting) existing and new customers (all are supermarkets, restaurants, caterers and retailers), attending food events and developing new business as well as introducing existing customers to new CHINESE food flavours and products. You must have a sales background and a food‑related background. There are excellent career opportunities in this expanding sector at the moment.

The company has seen a recent explosion in growth because of the increased interest in home‑cooking that began during Covid. People are now experimenting with new flavours and new dishes and this company has been able to expand strongly to accommodate increasingly sophisticated and international dishes. In this role you will introduce your retail customers to new products, build new relationships with customers all over Europe and the UK, arrange visits, demo recipes (if you want!) and create new revenue streams.

Duties

Attend food events where you will get the chance to meet potential new customers

Contact potential customers (phone/email/in person) to promote products

Arrange visits to retailers and restaurants with samples of new sauces and other ingredients to try

Liaise with the sales order processing team in the office in the UK who will do your order processing for you

Negotiate sales volumes and new supplier contracts with customers

Constantly visit existing customers to ensure that they are happy with the products and service

You will work to agreed sales targets that you will have direct input into

Requirements

Fluent German and English

Previous experience in Sales

Food background is essential

Located in Germany and happy to work 100% remotely
