About this position As a Customer Experience Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in offering an extraordinary experience to our customers. Your primary responsibility will be to guide and support customers throughout their CarMax journey, ensuring a simple and seamless process. Effective communication and collaboration with various teams will enable you to provide every customer with a positive experience when buying and selling cars. Your key responsibilities include: Delivering exceptional customer service by assisting customers through the entire process, from sales to vehicle appraisal, test drives, and financing applications. Conducting thorough vehicle condition assessments and relaying information to Buyers for accurate appraisals. Receiving and checking in vehicles shipped to CarMax, including daily inventory scanning and reconciliation. Performing cosmetic inspections to ensure all vehicles adhere to CarMax Quality Standards. Handling various administrative duties, such as maintaining transaction paperwork, contacting finance companies, and managing cash/payment processes. Coordinating service appointments and reviewing repair order invoices for accuracy in billing. Purpose of your role This dynamic retail sales environment requires high energy and teamwork to meet goals while handling a variety of customer interactions. Establishing rapport and understanding customer needs is essential. You will perform diverse tasks with minimal supervision, including vehicle sales, processing paperwork, assessing vehicle conditions for appraisals, and managing repair orders. Education and Experience High School Diploma or equivalent. Experience in sales and customer service, preferably in retail. A valid Driver's License. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is preferred.
