Tax Analyst

A global manufacturer of highly engineered products and technologies is seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Tax Analyst to join its corporate tax team. This organization serves a diverse range of markets, and its products play a role in many essential, everyday applications. In this role, you will support the preparation of U.S. federal, state, and international tax filings, assist with quarterly and annual tax provisions, and contribute to tax research, planning, and audit activities. This position offers exposure to a broad range of tax functions within a complex, multinational environment.

Responsibilities:

Prepare U.S. corporate income tax returns, extensions, and estimated tax payments.

Assist with research, analysis, and documentation of tax positions and planning initiatives.

Stay current on federal, state, and international tax law changes and emerging trends.

Support quarterly and year‑end income tax provision processes.

Assist with income tax audits and respond to inquiries from taxing authorities.

Collaborate with internal departments such as Accounting, Treasury, FP&A, and Legal.

Communicate with domestic and international subsidiaries regarding income and non‑income tax matters.

Prepare federal income tax returns for approximately 40 subsidiaries.

Develop workpapers related to federal filings, including depreciation, amortization, and other calculations.

Coordinate and analyze year‑end reporting schedules with business units.

Run and prepare fixed asset reports and related schedules.

State Tax

Prepare state income tax returns and supporting workpapers for the company and its subsidiaries.

Compute state apportionment factors and adjustments.

Calculate and prepare quarterly state estimated tax payments.

Maintain and update state tax dashboards and tracking tools.

Prepare documentation for state income tax audits.

Follow up with state and local taxing authorities regarding notices and inquiries.

International Tax

Assist with quarterly and annual ASC 740 reporting for international entities, including effective tax rate and current/deferred tax analysis.

Prepare U.S. international tax compliance, including GILTI, FDII, and foreign tax credit calculations and reporting.

Prepare Country‑by‑Country reporting, Local File, and Master File documentation.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field required.

CPA certification or progress toward CPA preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of income tax experience.

Experience with tax provision and tax return preparation; familiarity with tax software (e.g., OneSource) strongly preferred.

Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to manage large datasets.

Prior public accounting or large corporate tax experience preferred.

Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.

Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.

Self‑starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
