
Business Development Representative

Our client is seeking a motivated Business Development Representative to support their sales team by generating new leads and scheduling appointments for their field representatives.
In this role, you will conduct outbound outreach to prospective clients, build relationships with government and municipal buyers, and help drive new business opportunities. The ideal candidate is confident on the phone, comfortable with cold calling, and able to represent the organization with professionalism and credibility.
To ensure success in the role, the selected candidate will complete several days of onsite training in Cleveland, Ohio to learn the vacuum truck industry, including the products, customers, and terminology needed to have informed conversations with potential buyers.
Responsibilities
Conduct outbound cold calls to generate new business leads Qualify prospects and book meetings for the field sales team Develop relationships with government and municipal decision‑makers Track all outreach and activity in Monday.com Communicate effectively with internal sales teams to support the sales process Qualifications
Previous experience in sales, business development, or lead generation preferred Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to confidently engage new prospects Comfortable learning new industries and technical products Must be based in Ohio Base salary plus commission Generous PTO plan 401(k) available after one year Health insurance not currently offered Training will take place in Cleveland, Ohio Final interviews will be conducted in Cleveland Occasional travel to Cleveland required (approximately three times per year) NRI is an equal opportunity employer.
