It’s HammondCare.***About the role**The role of ***Employee Relations Specialist*** provides specialist advice to the People team and broader organisation on all on employment and industrial relations matters, including enterprise bargaining, agreement interpretation, policy development and employment legislation.***This is a contract position until late April 2027 and is based at St Leonards with hybrid opportunities.*****What we can offer you**We care about your wellbeing at HammondCare and as a result offer a wide range of health and lifestyle benefits including:* NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefit (up to $2,650 tax free)* Additional leave purchase options* Flexible working options, including hybrid arrangements* Discounts on everyday products and services* Discounted healthcare memberships - access to network of fitness centres and pools for employees and families* Free access to independent counselling support for employees and families* Health & Wellbeing programmes* Reward & Recognition programmes* Referral bonuses* Career and professional development opportunities**Key Responsibilities include*** Provide timely employee relations advice in a complex environment in a pragmatic and confidential manner* Contribute to the development of employee relations capability within the people function and in business leaders, upholding best practice* Provide coaching and advice on best practice approach to performance management, conduct and disciplinary issues, including high quality documentation* Enterprise agreement, award and employment legislation interpretation and compliance* Engagement with enterprise bargaining* Engagement with relevant trade unions as required* Representing HammondCare at tribunals (e.g., Fair Work Commission)* Support People Partners with case management and conduct workplace investigations as required* ER policy and process development**About you*** Commitment to engage and align with HammondCare’s Christian Mission, Motivation and Mission in Action.* At least 5 years demonstrated experience in a similar corporate role (aged care or other not for profit organisation experience is desirable)* Knowledge of current employment issues in the aged care sector, whether via research into the sector or by experience gained in the sector* Strong understanding of employment law* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders* Demonstrated skills in analytical problem solving and research skills* Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline such as industrial relations, law, or human resources and/or demonstrated relevant experience**To Apply**If you are ready to make a difference with HammondCare, Apply Now!
