
Product Marketing Manager

The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for managing a key portfolio of protective packaging products,ensuring alignment with customer needs, market trends, and overall company strategy. This role oversees the full product lifecycle — from ideation and development through commercialization and phase-out — with a focus on driving profitability, growth, and innovation.
The Product Marketing Manager collaborates closely with R&D, operations, sales, marketing, and supply chain teams to optimize portfolio performance. Key responsibilities include executing portfolio strategies, managing lifecycle initiatives, and coordinating cross-functional efforts to achieve business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Collaborate with GM to develop and execute a clear portfolio strategy that aligns with market dynamics, customer needs, and corporate objectives.
Conduct market analysis, competitor benchmarking, and trend forecasting to identify growth opportunities.
Recommend investments, divestments, and innovation priorities within the plastics portfolio.
Monitor product performance and recommend tactical actions such as pricing adjustments, cost optimization, and product rationalization to maintain product relevance and maximize margin
Manage the full product lifecycle (launch, growth, maturity, decline, end-of-life).
Product & Market Support
Provide sales teams with up-to-date product information, competitive comparisons, and value propositions.
Gather customer and market feedback to identify tactical improvements.
Collaborating with MarCom in preparing go-to-market materials for product launches
Cross-Functional Coordination
Work closely with operations, supply chain, and manufacturing to ensure portfolio initiatives are executed effectively
Partner with R&D to support development projects and product enhancements.
Support financial planning and business case development for portfolio investments.
Act as the voice of the customer by gathering insights on unmet needs, applications, and market pain points.
Support sales and marketing teams with product positioning, value propositions, and go-to-market strategies.
Participate in customer meetings, trade shows, or industry events as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business, Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
3–5 years of experience in product management, commercial operations, or related roles, preferably in plastics, packaging, or chemicals.
Solid understanding of plastics materials, manufacturing processes, or packaging applications.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and develop actionable insights.
Proficiency in MS Office; experience with SAP, ERP, or PLM systems is a plus.
Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Execution-focused with strong attention to detail.
Problem-solving mindset with ability to drive quick solutions.
