Overview
A global banking institution is looking to add an experienced Vice President of Credit to its U.S. lending platform. This role sits within a specialized credit team responsible for evaluating and managing complex commercial lending transactions across asset-based, equipment finance, and energy-related facilities . The position offers strong exposure to structured transactions, direct interaction with senior credit committees, and the opportunity to manage a diverse loan portfolio within a well-established international platform.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead underwriting and credit analysis for middle market C&I loans, including revolving credit facilities, term loans, and structured financings.
- Evaluate borrower financials through cash flow, leverage, liquidity, and debt service analysis.
- Conduct due diligence across borrowers, sponsors, industries, and market conditions to support credit recommendations.
- Assess loan structures, collateral, covenants, and risk mitigants to ensure alignment with internal standards.
- Prepare credit memoranda and executive summaries for approval committees, clearly outlining transaction risks and mitigants.
- Review loan documentation to ensure compliance with approved terms and internal policies.
- Manage a portfolio of middle market borrowers, monitoring performance, covenant compliance, and risk ratings.
- Provide secondary coverage of asset-based, equipment finance, and energy (oil & gas) transactions.
- Identify emerging risks and recommend mitigation strategies, amendments, or restructurings as needed.
- Maintain complete credit files in compliance with governance, audit, and regulatory standards.
