HomeTown Pharmacy is seeking a strategic, data‑driven Director of Pharmacy Performance to lead financial, operational, and clinical performance across our pharmacy enterprise. Reporting directly to the President, this leader drives margin improvement, operational efficiency, and clinical program growth while ensuring alignment with regulatory and payer requirements. The Director of Pharmacy Performance serves as the key connector between operations, finance, clinical services, purchasing, and compliance—turning complex data into actionable strategies that improve profitability, cash flow, and patient outcomes. Role is based out of New Era, Michigan.
What You'll Do
- Lead enterprise‑wide pharmacy performance metrics, including inventory optimization, purchasing efficiency, margin performance, and cost‑of‑goods analysis
- Develop dashboards and KPIs to monitor store‑level and enterprise results
- Identify margin leakage and implement corrective strategies in pricing, purchasing, and workflow
- Partner with operations to execute performance initiatives across all locations
- Oversee drug pricing strategy to balance competitiveness and margin protection
- Analyze prescription‑level reimbursement to identify underperforming drugs, payers, and plans
- Lead reimbursement improvement initiatives such as NDC optimization, MAC appeals, and payer performance analysis
- Serve as the primary owner of pharmacy performance analytics and reporting
- Translate data into insights for executive leadership and field teams
- Support strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting for pharmacy operations
- Drive performance strategy for MTM, immunizations, EQUIPP, and other clinical revenue programs
- Set targets for clinical volume, revenue, and patient engagement
- Collaborate with Corporate Compliance to ensure adherence to federal, state, and payer regulations
- Support audits, corrective action plans, and compliance‑driven process improvements
- Lead and develop a high‑performing team focused on analytics and performance improvement
- Partner cross‑functionally with Operations, Finance, Compliance, IT, and senior leadership
- Manage departmental budget and implement cost‑saving measures
What You Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in pharmacy operations, performance analytics, or pharmacy finance
- Strong understanding of pharmacy reimbursement, drug pricing, inventory strategies, and clinical programs
- Experience working with regulatory and compliance frameworks
- Proven leadership and cross‑functional collaboration skills
- Strong analytical and data interpretation abilities
- Valid driver’s license
